Current cloud availability and dated support information
Official announcement rechecked October 5, 2026: the September 29 launch announcement says Nivalis Nights is available on GeForce NOW. That dated launch statement supersedes the older FAQ's planned-streaming wording retained below. This website has not tested the NVIDIA catalogue, regional access or a subscription, so confirm those conditions in your own account before purchasing access.
PC/Steam availability and the absence of an announced console date in the checked official information remain unchanged. The launch announcement also says Steam Deck did not have full support at launch; it does not certify a later matched-hardware performance preset.
Retained platform research
The original FAQ-based comparison below is preserved. Its GeForce NOW “planned” wording describes that earlier source, not the newer launch announcement above.
Nivalis Nights is available on PC through Steam. The publisher's FAQ says an Epic Games Store release will follow, but gives no date. The same checked official source does not announce a PS5, PS4, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, or Switch 2 version or release date. The team's stated focus is PC while it considers other platforms.
Full controller support is confirmed in the FAQ. That statement describes an input option; it does not announce a console port or guarantee Steam Deck support. Use the status table below to distinguish an available version from a future plan or an unannounced platform.
Platform and storefront status
Swipe horizontally to see all columns.
| Platform or storefront | Official status checked October 5, 2026 | Release-date information |
|---|---|---|
| PC / Steam | Available | Released |
| Epic Games Store | Planned later in the publisher's FAQ | No date given in the checked FAQ |
| PlayStation 5 / PlayStation 4 | No version announced in the checked official FAQ and news sample | No announced date found in those sources |
| Xbox consoles | No version announced in the checked official FAQ and news sample | No announced date found in those sources |
| Nintendo Switch / Switch 2 | No version announced in the checked official FAQ and news sample | No announced date found in those sources |
| Native macOS / Linux | The FAQ says native compatibility is not being explored at present | No native release date given |
| Steam Deck | Handheld support is being explored; the FAQ gives no support guarantee | No guaranteed-support date given |
| GeForce NOW | Planned streaming is mentioned in the FAQ | Current catalogue availability has not been established here |
“Not announced” is a status of the checked information. It is not evidence that a port has been cancelled, and it is not a promise that one will happen. An Epic plan is similarly different from a store listing that is available to purchase today.

The publisher’s FAQ distinguishes the Steam version from its later Epic Games Store plan. This is a screenshot of the official information page, not a console announcement or an in-game interface.
PS5, Xbox, Switch and Switch 2 searches
If you are looking for a console copy, there is no announced console date in the publisher's FAQ checked for this page. The team says PC is the current focus and that it is looking into other platforms. That leaves the exact machines and release schedule undecided in the information supplied.
Do not use a guide headline mentioning PS5 or Switch as proof that a version exists. The relevant evidence would be a new publisher announcement naming the platform, followed by a matching platform-store listing. A discussion about a possible port, or an article comparing PC controls with a gamepad, does not provide the same confirmation.
Until the publisher names a console version, there is no supported console release countdown to display. There is also no verified console preorder link or console-specific feature list to give here.
Controller support on PC
The FAQ states full controller support. You can therefore separate the input question from the platform question: wanting to use a controller on the PC version does not require waiting for a console announcement.
Controller support alone does not establish a particular console button layout, certification, or performance level on another device. This page does not provide untested mappings or claim that every peripheral works identically. For the PC version's performance settings and current update notes, use the existing performance guide.
Steam Deck and Linux are different questions
The publisher says handheld platforms are being explored and does not guarantee Steam Deck support in the FAQ. That leaves Steam Deck compatibility and a dependable performance profile unconfirmed by that statement.
The absence of native Linux compatibility work also does not prove that a compatibility layer cannot run the game. A native Linux release, a player managing to launch it through Proton, and a consistently usable Steam Deck configuration are separate claims.
Before relying on a community performance report, check its game build, device model, settings, location, and reported problems. This page does not turn an isolated frame-rate claim into a benchmark or a guaranteed preset. A crowded district and an empty interior can produce different experiences even within the same player's report.
Store plans, cloud streaming and offline play
Steam is the confirmed available storefront in the checked FAQ. Epic Games Store is described as coming later. Use the actual storefront status before treating a future plan as a currently purchasable edition.
The FAQ also mentions planned GeForce NOW streaming. This page has not confirmed a current playable catalogue entry, so it does not provide an immediate streaming-start link or promise access through a particular subscription.
Steam Cloud support is stated in the FAQ. Offline play is possible apart from platform updates, while cloud synchronisation needs an internet connection. These are PC-version features, not announcements of a console release, cross-platform save transfer, or multiplayer.
Nivalis Nights is single-player, and the FAQ says multiplayer or co-op is not planned. Platform expansion would not by itself change that feature status.
