On this page

Spartacus's Doom is a conversation chain about freeing Spartacus from Floyd's fighting contract so he can return to his bakery ambitions. Follow his training and personal conversations, offer to speak to Floyd, negotiate a replacement fighter, and persuade Roxi Fynx to take the opening. Return to Spartacus after that agreement; the final exchange can also offer him work.

The quest uses community build 25738165 records against the current Update #4 baseline, and this site has not tested it in the game. The recorded opening allows an estimated two chances to accept the help offer. Dialogue order and attached effects are not proof that every current save follows precisely the same sequence.

Establish which Spartacus conversation is active

The task list includes meeting Spartacus, checking his training, returning, negotiating with Floyd, persuading Roxi, and speaking to Spartacus again. Several of those visits involve different topics. A conversation in which he discusses training is not automatically the one that starts the contract negotiation.

The opening clues include having met Floyd and completing the first tutorial step. Those are progression conditions, not items to collect. If you have only encountered Spartacus's fighting persona, continue the active story discussion instead of searching for a contract object to pick up.

A later offer can revisit the chance to help after his trainer drops him. In that exchange, propose helping him train. He accepts either an approach based on nutrition at your restaurant or one focused on confidence, then says you can check back tomorrow. This is a spoken follow-up instruction; the material does not verify a universal timer from every possible first encounter.

Do not confuse accepting that role with beating Obliterata Four yourself. Spartacus describes the opponent and his anxiety, but this chain is resolved through dialogue and a replacement fighter. No playable boxing victory is established as a prerequisite for the negotiation route described here.

Complete the training discussion without buying invented gear

During the training conversation, encourage Spartacus and respond to his concern about Obliterata Four. The dialogue offers motivation or advice about countering her attack. Both continuations lead to an ending with a motivation attachment in the recorded data.

That attachment is an internal story value, not an on-screen skill exercise you must repeat a stated number of times. The supplied record does not show a purchasable coach certification, a required weapon, or a practice-ring minigame. Use the actual conversation and the next journal entry to move forward.

This stage matters because Spartacus initially frames his problem as preparation for a fight. The later conversations reveal a different end state: he wants a life beyond the ring, but the cost of his modifications and his contract keep him tied to the gym. Treating every subsequent meeting as another training session can miss the opportunity to address that constraint.

If he has already moved to discussing his past, follow that subject. There is no need to force the earlier motivational exchange back into every visit. The current dialogue and journal objective tell you which part of his story is ready.

Listen to his bakery history

In the more personal conversation, ask how he entered Bare Metal Boxing and agree to keep his earlier life private. Spartacus explains that he used to work as a baker before a toxic-fungus outbreak destroyed the wheat supply and the bakery closed. He joined Floyd after he could no longer find work.

The useful follow-up is asking whether he misses the bakery and why he cannot return. He explains the debt to the gym for his modifications. This is the story reason that encouraging him to quit is not enough. Leaving after hearing the old job is different from learning the constraint on his future.

A dismissive response can end this conversation, while a supportive response continues his explanation. The recorded friendship attachments reflect those differences, but this guide does not invent a required friendship level for every subsequent visit. The concrete action is listening through the personal discussion and returning when the active objective calls for it.

His mention of money does not establish a direct buyout price. Do not withdraw an assumed amount and expect a payment prompt to replace the later Floyd negotiation. The relevant Floyd conversation explicitly rejects settling the problem by asking how many Lims it would take.

Offer to speak to Floyd about the contract

Spartacus later describes the pastry shop he imagined, including flowers sold alongside the baking. Encourage the possibility and discuss calling off the match. He explains that the decision belongs to Floyd and that being dropped as a trainee has not released him from the contract.

Offer to talk to Floyd. This ending has the quest-start attachment in the recorded dreams conversation. Continuing to tell Spartacus to win the fight or accepting that he is trapped leads to other endings without that same start attachment.

The distinction is important when the journal seems not to advance. You may have completed a friendly bakery conversation while never committing to the negotiation. Return to the actual objective and available dialogue rather than assuming that discovering his dream automatically assigns Floyd's replacement request.

A negative remark about the bakery business also has a possible apology continuation. The recorded conversation allows you to return toward the question of making the dream happen. Do not present every skeptical response as permanent failure, but finish the offer to help if that is your intended route.

Negotiate a replacement fighter with Floyd

Tell Floyd the conversation concerns Spartacus and move toward what he wants in exchange for releasing the contract. Floyd has money riding on the upcoming bout. Appealing to the danger or asking for a cash amount does not resolve his position; the practical offer is finding a fighter who can meet his expectations.

A supported negotiation direction is:

  1. Raise Spartacus's contract.
  2. Ask how the situation can be worked out.
  3. Ask what Floyd wants.
  4. Hear that he wants a fighter who can actually fight.
  5. Offer to find another fighter in exchange for releasing Spartacus.
  6. Finish the agreement before approaching the replacement.

Avoid threatening to report Floyd to CorpSec if you want this deal. The threat route changes his reaction, and the later replacement offer can be rejected specifically because you made that threat. An apology in the same exchange does not establish that the obstacle disappears: the recorded continuation still checks the earlier threat when answering the offer.

There is no supported bribe amount in this branch. Asking about Lims receives a refusal to negotiate on that basis. The replacement arrangement is the concrete solution shown, so the next objective involves Roxi rather than buying Floyd out or obtaining new modifications for Spartacus.

Persuade Roxi to take the opening

Roxi Fynx character portrait

Roxi is angry because Loretta Vendetta has taken her slot on the same team. Offer the new opportunity and discuss Bare Metal Boxing. Tell her Floyd has an opening, then explain why she fits what he wants.

The recorded conversation favors framing her as a capable winner. Describing her as exactly what Floyd needs has a positive friendship attachment, and calling her a winner is more favorable than reducing her to violence. Talking about Floyd dropping Spartacus raises her concern that he could drop her too.

Continue through her question about fairness and ask whether she accepts. Her first response can be either an enthusiastic agreement or hesitation because the offer comes from you rather than Floyd. The conditions for that immediate answer are not fully verified as a practical threshold here, so no one flattering line is presented as universally sufficient.

If she hesitates, the recorded alternative about no longer needing corporate sponsorship leads toward acceptance. The answer insisting that nobody else will give her a better offer ends with her rejection. That makes the sponsorship angle a concrete continuation worth recognizing, not a required purchase of sponsorship rights.

Once she agrees, tell her to see Floyd and say you sent her. Finish the catchphrase exchange. That ending advances the recorded quest step; hearing her excitement before giving the referral is not the entire recruitment conversation.

The quest listing marks this conversation as capable of failure, while the expanded record clearly distinguishes agreement from rejection. Check the journal after a rejection rather than assuming that you can persuade a different unnamed fighter. The supplied chain names Roxi and does not establish a substitute roster.

Return to Spartacus after the replacement agreement

Spartacus's final conversation confirms that Floyd deleted the contract in front of him. Ask about it and continue past the mention of the new fighter. His confirmation is the narrative checkpoint that the negotiation has achieved the goal, rather than proof inferred from Roxi's willingness alone.

He then asks about work as a baker. You can say you will ask around, suggest celebrating, or offer him a job yourself. Those choices lead to different relationship or employment continuations; freeing him does not require making a romantic invitation.

If you want the hiring branch, offer him work and continue to sealing the deal. The resulting acceptance carries a hire attachment. The alternative promise to ask around has favorable relationship attachments but does not itself contain the same employment result.

The ordinary staffing workflow is a separate guide. This quest page explains why Spartacus becomes available through the story; it does not invent his wages, full skill sheet, optimal shift, or a guaranteed restaurant review improvement from hiring him.

Distinguish release, employment and optional celebration

Your core goal is the released contract and the resolution of Spartacus's story objective. An employment agreement is an optional choice inside that ending. A celebration invitation is another optional relationship development. Treating all three as mandatory can make a completed story route look unfinished when you simply chose a different ending response.

If you remain stuck at Floyd, check whether you reached the replacement deal and whether you threatened him. If the current task is Roxi, inspect whether she agreed and received the referral. If it is the final Spartacus visit, finish the contract discussion before looking for a hire interface.

These checkpoints also prevent the opposite mistake: a motivated Spartacus is not automatically a freed Spartacus, and a promising replacement discussion is not confirmation that the contract has been deleted. The final conversation supplies that confirmation and the supported next decision about his return to baking.
