To clean trash in Nivalis Nights during the Clean Up quest, hire a cleaner at a job board and assign them to Ramen Noir. The recorded hiring objective requires at least two staff members overall and at least one cleaner there. Then wait for the venue to stop being too dirty, helping with manual cleanup if needed.
Buying a Kitchen Trash Bin is a separate furniture purchase. It is not a verified substitute for assigning a cleaner or waiting for the quest's cleanliness condition to change. This guide covers that specific cleanup task and the relevant fixes through the October 5 Update #3 baseline.
Complete the Clean Up Quest
Clean Up begins after a conversation with Ava or Banor about hiring a cleaner when Ramen Noir has become too dirty. Read the active objective to separate hiring from the subsequent cleanup.
- Go to a job board and hire a cleaner.
- Assign staff so that Ramen Noir has at least two staff members, including one cleaner.
- Let the cleaner work. Help clean things yourself if you want to assist.
- Check whether the venue is no longer too dirty and the quest advances.
The first objective is Hire a Cleaner. The second is Wait for cleanup. Hiring alone does not establish that all trash has already been removed; the quest explicitly allows the work to take time.
The retained instructions do not establish a universal manual-cleaning key or a fixed waiting duration. Follow the available in-game interaction and check the journal rather than treating an invented button combination as a repair.
Find a Kitchen Trash Bin
Two furniture variants share the name Kitchen Trash Bin. Both are recorded as venue furniture, can also be placed in apartments and greenhouses, and have comfort zero with no contribution to review comfort.

Kitchen Trash Bin identifies the purchasable furniture; the icon does not demonstrate the Clean Trash action.

| Vendor | District |
|---|---|
| Clive Sherman | Spire |
| Ceedee Sellis | Industrial District |
| Synne Altena | Metro Hub |
| Ester Brodie | Seaside Boardwalk |
| Eric Ruskin | Hive Mall |
| Valko Viteri | Oil Rig |
| Lady Gray | Hive Mall |
| Liddy Evans | Meridian Market |
These are recorded suppliers for the two bin variants. Their prices vary with the daily market, shortages, surpluses, relationships, and skills. Check the current offer rather than relying on a fixed price.
The bin's description concerns keeping smells in and rodents out. It does not establish that purchasing one automatically removes floor trash, completes Clean Up, or raises comfort. Judge the quest by its active objective and venue cleanliness.
Separate the Relevant Patch Fixes
Update #2, released October 2, adjusted staff task priorities, including trash cleanup and storage cleanup for the Cleaner role. It also fixed an exception where cleaning trash that a staff member had already cleaned could leave the player stuck. Venue trash bins in Central Canyon were relocated to improve manager and cleaner behavior.
Update #3, released October 5, addressed rotten food in larger quantities across normal and refrigerated storage. It also added missing trash bins for rotten food at NPC-run venues on Calypso Island and improved ingredient-delivery scheduling.
These changes concern specific cleanup situations. A historical report of a camera hitch after the mop animation is a different complaint; the retained patch notes do not establish a universal animation or motion-sickness fix. Likewise, the staff-cleaned-trash fix should not be presented as a solution for every object that cannot be put down.
