Nivalis Nights Fix Rosetta: Logic Relay and Both Vendor Routes

Quick Answer

Get a Logic Relay from Quince Crogan or buy one from Vik Ryan for 50 Lims, then return to Rosetta in Holocropolis and hand over the part.

On this page

To fix Rosetta in Nivalis Nights, obtain a Logic Relay and return it to her in Holocropolis. The recorded quest offers two suppliers: Quince Crogan in the Industrial District and Vik Ryan on Seaside Boardwalk. Vik's purchase route costs 50 Lims. Finding the part and handing it over are separate objectives, so seeing the relay in your inventory is not the final checkpoint.

The route changes when Quince is unavailable or refuses to help. Ava can direct you to Vik instead. That alternative is important: an unsuccessful conversation with the first supplier does not by itself prove that Rosetta is beyond repair. A reply that abandons the repair, however, is a different decision from asking where else to find the component.

This guide uses the site's Update #4 baseline and community quest dialogue extracted from build 25738165. The branches have not been independently played through here. Dialogue wording and availability can differ after patches; use the active objective and the actual inventory handover to confirm progress.

Understand what Rosetta needs

Rosetta character portrait

Rosetta is the Holocropolis caretaker. The opening repair discussion establishes that she needs a Logic Relay, rather than a replacement body, generic scrap, or a new hospitality unit. Keep that component name in mind when speaking to either supplier. A shop selling robotic equipment is not sufficient evidence that any item in its stock will satisfy the quest.

The vendor discussion describes Rosetta as a third-generation LifeCorp custodial hospitality model. That identification matters in Quince's dialogue because he asks about the machine and component you are trying to repair. It does not create a separate task to discover a serial number or purchase firmware. The supported route asks for the relay and then returns you to Rosetta.

The quest introduction follows the early Noodle Bar setup. Ava provides the supplier lead, with the available branch depending on Quince's situation. If you are still completing the opening venue introduction, finish the current tutorial conversations before interpreting a missing repair topic as a bug. The material does not establish a fixed game-day requirement for this quest.

Once the repair is active, distinguish its three practical states: you have a supplier lead but no part, you have the Logic Relay but have not returned it, or you have completed the handover. The next action follows that state. Repeatedly revisiting the suppliers after you already hold the part will not replace the final caretaker conversation.

Follow Ava's first supplier lead

Ava's normal lead is Quince Crogan, a parts broker in the Industrial District. Speak to him about getting the component for Rosetta. The conversation contains detours about the caretaker's model and his attitude toward repairing her, but those detours are not an instruction to buy every robotics item he sells.

Quince's willingness to cooperate can depend on how you respond. The useful direction is to keep the discussion focused on the relay and the repair. The recorded cooperative branch gives you a Logic Relay. The source does not establish a universal price for that branch, so this guide does not assign Quince the 50-Lim cost that is explicitly stated by Vik.

An antagonistic discussion can end with Quince withholding the remaining component. That outcome explains why a supplier visit may finish without the needed item. Before leaving the district, check whether you actually received a Logic Relay and whether the objective still asks you to obtain one. Completing a conversation is not the same as receiving its quest item.

If Quince refuses, return to Ava's repair lead. The recorded continuation offers another vendor. Choose the response that accepts this new lead if your aim is to help Rosetta. A response saying you are too busy and should leave Rosetta to someone else is attached to an abandoned repair outcome; it is not simply a request to postpone shopping.

Use the alternative when Quince is unavailable

If Quince is dead in your save, Ava can name another vendor. The repair dialogue contains an alternate Ava introduction that directs you to Vik when Quince is no longer available. You do not need to recreate Quince's earlier conversation to make that supplier alternative meaningful.

Treat this as a route change, rather than proof that the entire quest has failed. The practical question is whether Ava or the journal has provided Vik as the current lead. If so, go to Seaside Boardwalk and pursue the component there. The supported material does not establish a way to restore Quince or force his original branch back into the save.

Conversely, do not assume that every missing Quince topic means he is unavailable in the story. If you have not started the repair discussion, you may simply be looking for a topic before its introduction. If you already have the relay, the game may be directing you toward the handover instead. Check those states before treating the supplier's behavior as a broken character schedule.

Quince's availability also affects his separate Neon Sellout sales conversation. That overlap does not establish Neon Sellout as the cause of his absence. Use the repair supplier route your save already presents.

Buy the Logic Relay from Vik Ryan

Vik Ryan is the documented alternative on Seaside Boardwalk. Ask about the Logic Relay for Rosetta. His conversation initially questions whether the repair is worth doing and suggests that the older unit could be replaced or abandoned. If you want to complete this quest, continue toward helping Rosetta rather than agreeing to give up on her.

The purchase price is 50 Lims. Have that amount available when you reach the buying decision. The supported exchange is a dialogue purchase of the named part, not a requirement to assemble a relay from several items. No processor, crafting recipe, or separate repair station is established for this transaction.

When the conversation reaches the offered component, accept the purchase. After accepting the 50-Lim offer, check that the Logic Relay is in your inventory before leaving. The purchase dialogue alone does not show every resulting transfer in the extracted data. Hearing Vik state the price, or choosing a reply that ends the discussion without buying, does not show that the part has been obtained.

The recorded refusal branches can close the repair route. That makes it important to separate a complaint about Vik's sales pitch from the final choice to abandon the purchase. This guide does not promise that ending the conversation will always leave a fresh buying prompt available later; that repeatability has not been confirmed in the live game.

If your funds are below the stated price, resolve the shortage before committing to the final purchase decision. The evidence does not supply a credit option, discount, or substitute item. Keep the spending decision narrow: this particular repair needs the relay, not a general shopping trip for robot parts.

Return to Holocropolis with the part

After either supplier route, check your personal inventory for the Logic Relay. Carry it back to Rosetta in Holocropolis. The quest's required item is the same whichever vendor supplied it, so you should not seek a second relay simply because Ava mentioned both suppliers at different points in the story.

Talk to Rosetta about having found the component. The recorded sequence then asks you to hand it over. These are adjacent pieces of the same return conversation, but they represent different checkpoints: announcing success is followed by delivering the item. Continue through the handover rather than leaving as soon as Rosetta acknowledges your search.

The return dialogue includes a playful response as well as a straightforward one. Both recorded approaches can lead into the delivery. There is no supported requirement to select one exact joke to repair her successfully. The important action is that the conversation reaches the item transfer and the quest recognizes it.

The completed handover removes the Logic Relay from your inventory. That is expected: the part is used for the caretaker, rather than retained as a permanent collectible. An empty relay slot after this conversation should therefore be read together with the journal and Rosetta's response, not automatically treated as an item-loss bug.

Separate quest items from final rewards

The Logic Relay appears in the quest's possible item list because you obtain it during the repair. It is not an additional reward that you should still possess after using it. Supplier relationship changes also belong to particular conversations, so the overview should not be read as a bundle that every route grants at once.

The successful return improves the recorded relationship with Rosetta. Other possible changes involve Ava and whichever vendor you used. These are interpreted dialogue effects, not a tested guarantee of identical friendship or business increases on every answer. The guide therefore does not promise a fixed total across mutually different supplier branches.

No confirmed cash reward is established for the final repair in the material used here. Budget around Vik's explicit 50-Lim price if you use that route, and treat the caretaker handover as the objective. Do not assume that helping Rosetta will immediately reimburse that purchase.

When a marker is missing under Update #4, also check whether Quest Marker Filtering is enabled and this repair is pinned in the journal. Filtering changes the displayed task markers; it does not undo a refusal or create a relay that was never purchased. The most useful diagnosis keeps the visible objective, the component inventory, and the last repair conversation together.
