To complete Green Thumb in Nivalis Nights, speak to Clem Hortelano at the Greenhouses, access Greenhouse 2B near the Docks, and finish the onion and potato learning stages. Then accept Clem's cover work, grow Sal's requested vegetables, and complete the later King Mushroom and Beef orders for Ma Gomba and Hanz Grundown. The last action is returning to Clem after both customers have received their orders.
The key requirement is growing and harvesting the ordered produce, followed by having the required quantities available for the customer conversation. Buying finished vegetables is not established as a substitute for the farming stages. Completing Sal's first order also does not finish the entire quest: there are two more customers and a final check-in.
This guide follows the Update #4 site baseline. Detailed objectives and dialogue branches are interpreted from build 25738165 and have not been independently tested here. Crop parameters should come from the current interface rather than an invented universal farming preset.
Begin with Clem and Greenhouse 2B

Clem's introductory conversation is associated with venue expansion progress. Banor can also direct you to Clem in the Docks while discussing the cost of vegetables and the possibility of growing your own supply. That lead explains why the greenhouse appears during business progression, but Banor's discussion is not itself a harvested-crop objective.
Speak to Clem about Thaddeus's old greenhouse. Her introduction can accommodate a beginner asking for help or a confident player claiming to know gardening already. Both recorded routes lead toward onion seeds and taking over the greenhouse. Choosing mushrooms or cultivated meat in the beginner discussion brings her back to the basics rather than starting an entirely different first crop.
Clem directs you up the hill toward Thaddeus's greenhouse. The journal then names Greenhouse 2B, near the Docks. Access that location before treating the packet of seeds as enough to complete the introduction. The access stage is separate from the later planting and harvesting stage.
Clem says different modules suit different crops and that modules can be upgraded. The quest does not require you to maximize the whole greenhouse before planting an onion. Start with the module appropriate to the active crop, then use later orders to determine what additional equipment is necessary.
Harvest onions and complete the potato learning stage
The first harvest objective names one Onions harvest. Use the onion seeds from the introduction, plant the crop in a suitable module, and harvest it when ready. Possessing seeds or entering the greenhouse alone does not count as finishing that action.
Return to Clem when the journal asks you to speak to her. She discusses humidity, temperature, and light, explaining that you change them through the greenhouse module and that the settings apply to the whole place. That last detail matters when adding a second crop: changing conditions for one module can affect the other growing plants.
The next learning objective is one Potato harvest. Follow that named crop stage, then check back with Clem. The complete route does not specify a fixed grow duration, seed price, or exact environmental values for either beginner crop, so use the crop information presented in your game.
Clem's personal history and memories of Thaddeus can appear during these talks. They deepen the conversation, but the growing milestones remain the useful progression checks. Learning about her family does not replace harvesting potatoes, nor does asking about upgrades automatically advance the next customer job.
Accept the first cover job and meet Sal
After the potato stage, Clem asks whether you want to earn some Lims by covering an order. She directs you to Sal Magundi II, the chef at Fusion Point in Eastern Residential. Say that you will take the job if you want to continue the order chain.
An initial refusal can leave an opportunity to reconsider. However, the later Food Quest Retry conversation has a refusal branch attached to quest failure. Do not assume that repeated answers saying you are uninterested are harmless postponements. If the retry offer is what your save currently presents, accepting the job and receiving Sal's lead is the relevant commitment.
Sal's first conversation includes shouting about unrelated kitchen orders. Those lines are workplace flavor; the actual request you need is two units of Bok Choy, two units of Cabbage, and four units of Onions. Do not grow every food he calls out while working the kitchen.
You can ask why he is shouting or about his arms, but make sure the conversation reaches Clem's order. The journal's seed and harvest stages should follow that request. Greeting Sal without discussing the order does not establish that he has registered you as Clem's cover.
Buy seeds and grow Sal's three vegetables
Sal's job separates seed possession from produce harvest. The route asks you to buy Onion Seeds, Cabbage Seeds, and Bok Choy Seeds, then harvest the quantities needed for the order. This keeps the shopping requirement and growing requirement distinct.
Swipe horizontally to see all columns.
| Crop | Required harvest for Sal | Quantity needed at handover |
|---|---|---|
| Onions | 4 | At least 4 |
| Cabbage | 2 | At least 2 |
| Bok Choy | 2 | At least 2 |
Keep these amounts available for the delivery conversation. Selling the entire batch or using it in another context before speaking to Sal can leave you short even if you previously completed a harvest. The recorded handover conditions include both the farming milestones and current quantities.
Use modules compatible with the three crops and inspect their environmental requirements. Because greenhouse parameters apply across the space, a change made for a newly planted crop should be considered against the plants already growing. The route does not prove that one numerical preset is best for all three vegetables or that a particular module upgrade is mandatory for this order.
Sal urges you to be quick and complains about waiting at handover. Those remarks do not establish a countdown that fails the task at a particular hour. Follow the growing objectives efficiently, but do not confuse impatient dialogue with a verified timed failure mechanic.
Deliver Sal's order and return to Clem
When the harvested amounts are ready, speak to Sal at Fusion Point about completing the order. The handover consumes the required vegetables and leads to the next Clem checkpoint. If the completion topic is missing, inspect which crop stage remains unfinished and whether you still have the listed quantities.
The handover data includes the Spicy Lemon Chicken Feet Salad recipe. Clem's earlier offer mentions a 100-Lim job and Sal talks about payment, but the supplied handover effects do not clearly establish a separate cash amount here. Treat the visible payment in your save as the final amount rather than combining dialogue promises into an invented reward total.
Return to Clem after Sal's order. She thanks you for covering the work and asks whether you want another job while she is away in the Spire. Accepting this follow-up leads to the two-customer stage. This is why stopping after Sal can leave Green Thumb apparently unfinished even though the first delivery succeeded.
Clem's remarks about helping others are not a demand that you complete every citizen's side quest. Within Green Thumb, your next concrete work is taking the orders from Ma Gomba and Hanz.
Grow five King Mushrooms for Ma Gomba
Ma Gomba's order in Green Thumb is for five King Mushrooms. She wants to compare her fungi with those grown by an amateur at a gathering. This is a separate order from her personal Enoki, Morel, and Mystery spore experiments.

Agree to the job, grow the King Mushrooms, and keep at least five ready for the return conversation. Her discussion of payment is intentionally evasive: she says the work should be reward enough and may offer something depending on the fungi. Do not budget around an unconfirmed cash fee for this customer.
At handover, Ma Gomba offers spores rather than the money you may have expected. Accepting the spores or rejecting them are different responses, but both recorded endings consume the five King Mushrooms and mark this growing order complete. The conversation also records a Vege Burger recipe.
The accepted-spore branch has an additional spore-related inventory effect, but that effect alone is not a verified quantity of a physical seed packet in every patched save. Check what you actually receive. More importantly for Green Thumb, refusing her compensation should not be mistaken for never delivering the King Mushrooms: the order's completion is attached to the handover itself.
Grow two Beef units for Hanz Grundown
Tell Hanz you are filling in for Clem and hear his request. The journal asks you to grow two Beef units, then return with at least two available. It is a cultivated-meat task, so vegetable seeds or ordinary mushroom equipment do not answer this objective.
Hanz explains a special client's steak order and discusses prices. His conversation includes a 200-Lim initial offer and a negotiation ending at 500, while the supplied handover effect records 500 Lims. Because those records do not establish every price branch consistently, do not treat the opening offer as a universal final payout or promise a particular negotiation sequence will maximize it.
Finish the growing action and return for the payment conversation. His impatience and jokes about the client's rhyme-based diet do not add extra required crops. The actual handover consumes two Beef and includes the Frushi recipe in the recorded outcome.
If you cannot start the handover, check both parts of the condition: the Beef farming stage and the quantity remaining. A recipe unlock from another quest does not replace the requested meat, and merely installing a meat module does not establish that the Beef has been harvested.
Return to Clem after both later orders
The final Clem conversation requires the Ma Gomba growing order and Hanz Beef order to be complete. If only one customer has received the goods, return to the unfinished customer before looking for a new closing conversation from Clem.
Clem offers a Meat Printing Module A as thanks. That is a final reward in the recorded closing conversation, not proof that you received the module before the earlier Beef objective. Keep the chronology clear when assessing what equipment you needed for the order itself.
Her final conversation can also reveal Project Grapevine and offer a separate package job. You can finish the farming discussion without turning this guide into the entire illegal-gardening route. If you accept that new work, follow the new quest's package objective; the later Oil Rig or authorities decision belongs to Project Grapevine.
Match an unfinished quest to the missing delivery
The most useful diagnosis is the current crop or customer. An onion objective means the introductory harvest remains; a potato objective belongs to the second learning stage. Sal requires all three vegetable harvests and their quantities, while Ma Gomba and Hanz each have their own later materials and handovers.
A greenhouse full of produce does not by itself close Green Thumb. The customer conversations register the completed jobs, and Clem's final return ties them together. Conversely, a failed retry offer is a dialogue outcome, not a reason to buy more seed packets indefinitely. Use the journal status, the named material, and the last accepted job to choose the next action.
