Nivalis Nights Ashwin Needs Help: Staff and Investment Route

Quick Answer

Keep Ashwin employed while following his performance and Safia conversations, hear the three hygiene proposals, then choose the repayment offered after the successful research branch.

On this page

Ashwin Needs Help in Nivalis Nights starts when Ava notices that your cleaner Ashwin Chopra is distracted. Talk to him about his performance, follow the conversations involving Safia Megane, and then decide whether to support his Restaurant Hygiene Technology ideas. The longer business route moves from a biological disinfectant to nanobots and finally Cyclin Expression Inhibitors before Ashwin offers repayment.

The key limitation is that Ashwin must still be employed for many of these conversations. One branch explicitly fires him, and other branches involve him quitting. His departure is also part of the successful business ending, so losing him as a cleaner is not by itself proof that the quest failed.

The site's current version baseline is Update #4. The detailed conversation effects below are interpreted from build 25738165 and have not been independently played through here. Use Ashwin's current employment state and the active proposal to identify your route; no answer sequence here guarantees a particular patched outcome.

Start with Ava's concern about your cleaner

Ashwin Chopra character portrait

Ava's opening conversation identifies Ashwin as your cleaner and describes his strange mood. She suggests heartache rather than a secret CorpSec role and recommends talking to him. Complete that discussion to receive the task instead of trying to solve it solely through ordinary cleaning assignments.

Ava mentions a cleaning-efficiency drop, while the player repeats a rounded figure in the next conversation. Those numbers are dialogue explaining why the story begins. They are not a universal staff-performance threshold you must reproduce before the quest can start.

Find Ashwin while the quest directs you to talk about his performance. You can ask what is wrong or begin with the work issue. Both recorded approaches reach his denial that romance is affecting him. The first conversation is mostly establishing the problem; it does not immediately reveal the full Safia situation or begin an investment.

Keep the distinction between a scripted story interaction and normal employment decisions. Opening the staff interface and dismissing him is not a documented shortcut to the next objective. Since later conversations depend on him still being hired, dismissing him can also remove the condition needed for the route you are trying to continue.

Let the second performance conversation reveal Safia

When his behavior has not improved, talk to Ashwin again. He expects that you are going to fire him after overstepping with a customer. The discussion can take a supportive tone or a tougher managerial tone, but the important story development is hearing about Safia.

The available route distinguishes Safia as a hired waitress from Safia as someone outside your staff. When she is employed, Ashwin describes his attraction to the waitress. When she is not, he names Safia Megane at Hive Mall and explains that you may not know her. These are different introductions to the same issue, not proof that you must hire Safia before helping him.

Your responses can put more emphasis on staff getting along, avoiding workplace romance, or moving on from an unavailable person. The dialogue tracks different story paths from these positions. The material does not establish that one exact response produces every later conversation in the same order, so follow the next objective your save presents.

The useful checkpoint is learning who the distraction involves and whether the journal asks for Safia next. Repeating the first performance warning after the story already names her will not resolve the missing contact stage.

Speak to Safia at work or in Hive Mall

If Safia is part of your staff, the quest can give you workplace conversations about Ashwin's behavior. She describes him as a friend and explains that she does not want to hurt him. A later discussion emphasizes that he hears what he wants to hear and needs someone else to explain the situation clearly.

If the objective directs you to Hive Mall, find Safia there and ask about Ashwin. She says he is attached to the idea of being in love and needs a friend or a friendly boss. This branch supplies the same practical direction without requiring her to be one of your employees.

These conversations concern Ashwin's feelings toward Safia. They are not instructions for the player's own romance route with her. Avoid interpreting a friendly response from Safia as a heart threshold or an invitation to date; the current task is gathering the information Ashwin needs to hear.

Return to Ashwin once that contact stage is complete. You do not need to invent a gift, persuade Safia to reciprocate, or force a date to advance the story. The available route explicitly moves toward helping him recover another interest, rather than winning Safia over for him.

Redirect Ashwin toward his professional ambition

Tell Ashwin what you learned. Several responses convey that Safia does not want more than friendship, with varying bluntness. Continue until the conversation turns from his disappointment to the things that used to make him happy.

His answer is his concept for a Restaurant Hygiene Technology company. Expressing interest in the idea leads to discussion of possible investment and future proposals. The route gives you ways to be enthusiastic or to say you mainly want him working again; both can continue toward hearing his plans.

One response rejects his dream and says it would be better to part ways. The attached outcome fires Ashwin. That is a concrete employment branch, so do not select it while expecting the same continuing employee conversations to remain available.

There is also a departure conversation in which he says he founded a company and quits. Depending on the route, he can leave before you complete the longer investment story. Treat the substance of his announcement as the clue: quitting to pursue a business is different from being dismissed through your rejection response.

Hear the first proposal about biological disinfectant

Ashwin's first proposal concerns a disinfectant that consumes microorganisms rather than simply killing them. He describes living enzymes or macrophages that continue searching for food and proposes a stabilizing population in the kitchen.

You can ask about contamination, danger, or the difference from existing disinfectant. Those questions bring out the costs and limitations of his idea within the story. They are not a scientific guarantee that a biological cleaner will behave that way in a real kitchen, nor do they prove a permanent in-game cleanliness bonus at this stage.

The dialogue names 1,000 Lims for initial equipment. It also ends with a response saying you will think about it, followed by a reconsideration conversation about the proposal. That is why hearing the cost is different from completing the investment stage.

When he asks for your decision, you can reject the investment or ask for more explanation. The explanation branch can reach agreement and a promise to transfer funds. The supplied dialogue does not establish the precise transfer control or every payment trigger, so follow the current quest prompt rather than looking for an invented button or vendor item.

A refusal is also not the same as temporarily asking for clarification. Read the commitment at the end of the exchange. If you want to follow all three experiments, the useful path is continuing the business proposal rather than treating rejection as guaranteed harmless delay.

Respond to the nanobot proposal after the slime result

The next proposal follows the result of the biological experiment. Ashwin says it initially worked, but its byproducts created a form of sentient slime. He proposes nanobot enzyme hunters to attack the proliferating macrophages.

This is the second experiment, not a request that you personally hunt a slime enemy in the city. The material does not describe a combat encounter, a slime item to collect, or a cleaning-tool action you need to perform. The player-facing task is hearing and deciding on the new proposal.

Ashwin discusses nanobots, power cells, and training algorithms as costs. The supplied dialogue does not give a dependable numeric total for this stage. Do not assume it costs another 1,000 Lims simply because the first proposal did, or combine a guessed amount with the later inhibitor price.

The reconsideration discussion can close the deal or let him explain the plan once more. A response agreeing to give it a go is different from declaring that there will be no more schemes. Another recorded branch has Ashwin finding a different investor and quitting, so continued employment and proposal availability need to be checked against the route you actually chose.

Hear the third proposal for Cyclin Expression Inhibitors

Ashwin reports that the nanobots reduce the macrophages and slime, but the resulting fragments create new, more dangerous colonies. He proposes Cyclin Expression Inhibitors, abbreviated C.E.I.s, as the next intervention.

Ask how he plans to clean up the new mess or how much the new approach costs. The discussion names 7,000 Lims and explains that the inhibitors are more complicated to engineer than the nanobots. This is an explicitly stated proposal amount, but it does not establish a complete total investment across every earlier stage.

The conversation ends with you considering the expense and Ashwin preparing his lab. If the next objective still concerns the third proposal, follow its actual funding or follow-up prompt. Hearing that the equipment is ready is not evidence that all experiments are complete.

At this point, the story's escalating failures explain why the repayment is a later milestone. Do not take his first optimistic description as proof that your cleaners have already gained the service bonus associated with the successful ending.

Compare the three repayment choices

The successful research conversation has Ashwin announcing that the new products passed his tests and are ready for market. These are his claims within the story, not this website's measurements of a patched venue's cleanliness. Continue to the repayment offer before expecting cash or a service benefit.

Offered choiceWhat Ashwin proposesPractical distinction
Immediate buyout20,000 Lims nowA single immediate payment
Installments2,000 Lims every seven days for fifteen weeksA longer payment schedule
Service plus installmentsLifelong aerosol service and 1,000 Lims every seven days for fifteen weeksA smaller schedule paired with cleaning service

These are alternative rewards, not a package you collect together. The recorded effects attach the immediate payment or the first installment to the corresponding selection. Later installment timing should be confirmed in your save rather than assumed from one initial balance change.

The service choice includes Ashwin's claim that it improves cleaner performance by 100 percent. Treat that as the offered in-game benefit; this site has not independently measured the actual performance change. Select it for the combination described, without expecting the 20,000-Lim buyout as well.

Finish the departure and Safia's closure

After the successful repayment choice, Ashwin says he must quit because his company needs his full attention. The recorded endings all remove him as your cleaner. That departure is therefore compatible with the successful research branch and should not automatically be diagnosed as quest failure.

The route later includes Safia's closure, with separate versions depending on whether she is employed. She refers either to Ashwin buying you out or to the last payment, and describes their relationship as friendship. This closes the earlier personal issue without claiming that your intervention guaranteed a romance between them.

If the journal appears unfinished after Ashwin leaves, distinguish his success announcement from an earlier departure to seek another investor. Also check whether the remaining objective names a repayment period or Safia. Rehiring another cleaner may help your venue, but it does not substitute for a remaining story conversation or prove that an interrupted proposal has resumed.
