Ma Gomba's Mushrooms in Nivalis Nights begins with Ma Gomba's offer after you have visited the Greenhouse. Follow her sample through an Enoki harvest, a return conversation, and then Ma Gomba's Morels if you accept the next experiment. The final offer gives you Mystery spores and a choice between growing the resulting mushrooms and throwing the spores into the Meridian trash chute.
Those outcomes are alternatives. Do not dispose of the spores and then expect to complete the paid growing branch with the same batch. You can also close the quest through refusal at later conversations; reaching a completed status does not necessarily mean you accepted every experiment or received the final payment.
The current site baseline is Update #4. The detailed dialogue branches below are interpreted from build 25738165, with no independent playtest here. Follow the crop and conversation names displayed in your game, especially when recognizing whether your route ended early.
Meet Ma Gomba after visiting the Greenhouse

Start with Ma Gomba's conversation about what she sells. She presents fungi as a business opportunity, then explains that she wants to decide whether you are a suitable customer before selling more. Continue toward her task offer if your aim is to pursue the complete growing route.
Her first discussion can include practical mushroom advice. She says you need a mushroom module for the greenhouse, spores, high humidity, and low light. She also says a C Grade model can be a beginner's starting point. These are her broad introductory instructions, not a confirmed temperature setting, humidity percentage, or crop-specific optimum.
The opening opportunity includes a later reconsideration conversation if you turn the initial offer down. The interpreted route marks two starting chances overall. That gives a player who declined once a possible follow-up, but it does not support repeatedly rejecting Ma Gomba while expecting an unlimited new offer.
Be careful about where you are in the conversation. Asking what a sample contains can lead to more information; rejecting it after she explains who will be experimenting can end the exchange. The offer is not simply accepted because you asked about fungi or said you were curious about her business.
Accept the Enoki sample rather than closing the offer
When Ma Gomba asks whether you are taking up her offer, an affirmative answer leads to the free sample. She identifies it as a biotrophic Enoki and mentions ramen, but the journal's required action is growing and harvesting Enoki, not serving a documented number of ramen bowls.
The refusal branch in the return-for-more conversation is marked as quest failure. Saying that you do not want her mushrooms, declining after being asked to reconsider, or turning down the experiment after hearing that customers are the test subjects can lead away from the active growing route. If completing all the experiments matters to you, preserve your position before this offer.
The accepted branch records Enoki Mushroom Spores. Check for that named sample and then use a suitable mushroom module. Do not buy ordinary mushrooms and assume that possessing them is the same as harvesting Ma Gomba's batch. The objective explicitly names a harvest, making the growing action part of the progression.
Ma Gomba's threatening remarks about spores in your lungs are dialogue in this branch. They are not instructions to obtain a respiratory treatment, equip a mask, or begin Lochlainn's separate story. Keep your next action tied to the crop objective rather than treating every ominous line as a new gameplay requirement.
Harvest Enoki and return for the Morel offer
The first crop objective asks for one Enoki Mushroom harvest. Complete that harvest before returning to Ma Gomba for the conversation about how her mushrooms grew. A visit while the crop is still only planted does not establish that the harvest stage has been satisfied.
The following conversation lets you discuss the Enoki, ask what else she has, or say that you intend to focus on vegetables. Asking about adventurous fungi leads to her special Morel offer. If you want the longer route, accept the Morels rather than ending the partnership at this point.
There is a significant difference between this refusal and the earlier Enoki refusal. Several answers in the third meeting are attached to quest completion, including sticking with familiar crops and declining the Morel experiment. That is an early closure branch, not proof that you have lost the same way as at the sample stage.
This means a player can see the quest close after Enoki without ever receiving Mystery spores. The status reflects the conversation route, while the full experiment path remains unplayed. If your goal is specifically to obtain the final paid mushroom outcome, an early completed status is not enough evidence that you reached it.
Grow the named Morels with the appropriate module
Accepting the Morel offer records Morel Spores and leads to a harvest objective for Ma Gomba's Morels. The named result matters: this is not a request for any random mushroom ingredient you happen to own.

Ma Gomba's growing advice at this stage calls for a top-quality module, Grade A at least, along with high humidity and low light. Keep that recommendation tied to her Morel discussion. It does not mean her earlier statement about a C Grade beginner module was a promise that the same setup would handle every later experiment equally well.
The route does not give exact numeric environmental values or a guaranteed completion timer for these Morels. Use the crop's displayed requirements and current greenhouse controls. Avoid copying invented settings from a generic mushroom chart into a quest that names a special strain.
Harvest the required Morels and return to Ma Gomba for her next offer. That return is the transition from growing a food ingredient to considering a stranger job. Having extra Morels does not skip the conversation or automatically grant the Mystery spores.
Her comments about Thaddeus and the carrot shortage provide context for why you might distrust her. They do not add an objective to investigate Thaddeus, repair a carrot supply, or confront Clem during this mushroom quest. Decide whether to continue the experiments through the offered responses, then follow the objective that results.
Hear the final offer before deciding what to do
After the Morel stage, Ma Gomba asks you to grow a special mushroom that is not for eating. She offers 300 Lims. You can ask what it is for, agree directly, or decline the request.
If you pass on the offer, she terminates the acquaintance and the branch is recorded as closing the quest. This is another early end, distinct from accepting the spores and disposing of them afterward. A player who never accepted the final sample should not search for a missing trash objective as if the spores must be hidden somewhere.
If you accept, the branch gives Mystery spores. The vague name is intentional within the dialogue: Ma Gomba avoids explaining the purpose and calls it a surprise. The walkthrough labels the later crop Magic Mushroom, so use the active objective and item names to distinguish seed material from its harvested result.
Questions and direct acceptance are different attitudes, but the available records do not establish one uniquely safe sequence of every answer. They indicate that you can accept the work through more than one conversational path. Read the commitment itself: accepting the spores is the important stage change.
Choose between disposing of the spores and growing them
Dispose of the Mystery spores
The disposal objective names the Trash Chute Meridian interaction. This is a specific quest destination, not a request to abandon an item anywhere in the city or to put it into ordinary venue storage.
Use that route if you want to reject the experiment after accepting the sample. The later conversation is Ma Gomba is angry. She knows that you discarded the material and sends you away. Her threats against your business are part of the recorded reaction; the supplied material does not establish a quantified stock penalty, forced venue closure, or a separate repair task.
This is not the paid growing branch. Do not expect the 300-Lim handover simply because you returned to Ma Gomba after disposal. The visible response is the useful clue that your route took the rejection outcome.
Grow the special mushrooms
For the growing route, keep the Mystery spores, follow the greenhouse objective, and harvest one Magic Mushroom. Then return to Ma Gomba for the reward conversation rather than interacting with the disposal chute.
The crop and return conversation are separate checkpoints. Harvesting the mushroom advances the material side of the task; the later handover is where Ma Gomba acknowledges the work and pays. Do not interpret an uncollected payment as a greenhouse failure if the current objective already says to speak with her.
The recorded material does not show a cooking requirement for the Magic Mushroom. In fact, the final offer says the crop is not for eating. Avoid sending this batch to a restaurant menu merely because earlier Enoki and Morels were described in food terms.
Recognize the paid ending and its reward scope
The successful final conversation is Well done from Ma Gomba. She praises the results and offers the money promised. You can respond in a businesslike way or ask again about the mysterious mushrooms; both recorded answers lead toward the payment, though their relationship tone differs.
The attached reward records 300 Lims and the Shroom Soup recipe on this final branch. These are conditional on reaching the paid result. They are not documented rewards for declining the Morels, refusing the last offer, or throwing the Mystery spores away.
Ma Gomba's line mentions a tip, but the attached money effect only establishes the 300-Lim amount. This guide does not add a second invented cash reward. Likewise, a recipe unlock does not prove that you already own every ingredient or piece of equipment needed to serve it.
Identify which stage has actually stopped
Use the last material or conversation to narrow the problem. If Ma Gomba never gave Enoki spores, check whether you accepted the sample or used a refusal branch. If you harvested Enoki but the quest ended, review the third-meeting decision before looking for Morel spores. An early closure can explain the missing next crop.
If the Morel offer is active, inspect the named crop and module requirements rather than expecting an ordinary purchased mushroom to count. If Mystery spores were received, determine whether you kept them for growing or used the Meridian disposal objective. Ma Gomba's angry conversation identifies a different outcome from her congratulatory payment conversation.
Finally, separate the three kinds of result: failure at the sample refusal, early closure at later offers, and the final growing or disposal outcome. Treating all of them as one broken harvest loop makes the route harder to diagnose and encourages unnecessary attempts to repeat conversations that your chosen branch may already have resolved.
