Nivalis Nights Business Builds: Compare Menus and Equipment

Quick Answer

Build a business menu around equipment you own, recipes you have unlocked and ingredients you can supply. Compare up to four dishes, then export the selection into the menu planner to enter your actual portions, stock and prices.

On this page

A Nivalis Nights business build starts with a menu your venue can prepare and replenish. Compare dishes below to see their kitchen requirements, shared ingredients, recorded supplier coverage and reference district fit. Use the comparison to plan a restaurant menu you can operate.

Compare dishes before buying equipment

Compare up to four recorded dishes. Equipment and ingredient overlap help you plan a focused menu; district scores and costs are community estimates.

Three practical menu approaches

A smaller shopping list

Start with a dish you have unlocked. Compare a second dish that shares its ingredients and equipment. Ingredient overlap reduces the number of different supplies you need to check; it does not prove higher profit. Expand only after you can keep the first dishes supplied and served.

Look at the shared-ingredient list, then inspect the individual ingredient pages. Perishable items still need appropriate storage, even when several dishes use them. Extra stock ties up money and can spoil before it is consumed.

A menu for your district

Choose your venue district and compare recorded fit scores. A missing score stays unknown. Check supplier coverage in the same district to distinguish a short local purchasing route from a recipe that depends on travel, farming or fishing.

District scores and ingredient costs are secondary estimates. Customer results also depend on service and other venue conditions. Use the customer complaint checks when changing the menu does not resolve a problem.

A menu for equipment you already own

Compare appliance lists before buying anything. Then use the recipe finder and mark your owned appliances to narrow the catalogue. An incomplete appliance list does not establish that a dish needs no equipment.

Check unlock requirements on each recipe record. A low reference cost is not enough if the recipe is unavailable in your save or its ingredients cannot be purchased by a manager.

Turn a comparison into a shopping plan

  1. Add up to four dishes and choose a district.
  2. Open each recipe's details to check unlocks, appliances and missing records.
  3. Export the compared menu. In the menu planner, open Menu actions, then Import menu.
  4. Enter planned portions and the per-serving quantities shown in your game. Use the same stock unit for required amounts, already owned stock and unit prices.
  5. Enter your selling prices and review ingredient margin. Account for rent, wages, spoilage and equipment separately before calling a result net profit.
  6. Save the menu explicitly if you want it retained in this browser.

Check Update 4 stock settings separately

The official Update 4 adds venue stock targets and a daily restocking budget. Those targets operate independently of this site's portion-based shopping plan. Inspect the game's Shopping List after changing a target, and check whether your venue can purchase every required ingredient.

Use Manager and restocking to inspect targets, budget and deliveries. Treat the comparison as a planning aid, not an automatic instruction to pick Lean, Normal or Extra for every business.
